Users install Yank on servers they do not fully control. How do we distribute it?

Considered Options

  • Static binary
  • Distribution packages
  • Container image

Decision Outcome

Chosen option: "Static binary", because installation is a single download.

Consequences

  • Good, because installation and rollback are one file.
  • Bad, because the binary grows with every dependency.
